The aim of MaXSSIMM program

Accelerate and secure the take-off of mobile multimedia services:
- Facilitate deployment of the applications (fast roll-out and interoperability)
- Ease the handset management: greater customization (at POS) and rationalization of industrial process
- Ease personal data management, transfer and replay of protected multimedia content (from one device to another)
Cooperative initiative of industrys takes holders led by Gemalto to synchronize developments of components:

Design a first end to end solution including Â«MaxSSIMM Â» cards, silicon chips, compatible handsets and OTA platform
Set-up demonstrators and full-scale pilots for MM services
Establish and promote a new industrial "standard" for mobile services

Program is supported by the BU Telecom roadmap activities and corporate T&I developments

Gathering industry stakeholders to develop an end to end solution (from 2007 to 2010)
To ease the development and deployment of mobile multimedia services.
