Hello, I am a Java/J2EE developer and I am interested in M2M technology. I would like to start developing some programming regarding this matter. Could you please guid me and tell me , what technologies and tools do I need to have as a developer? Do I need to download or install any SDK or API ? Is there any IDE (I am using Eclipse & IntelliJ)? How can I test my program ? What do I need to test my program? How can I install my program on Sim and test it? Thanks Pouyan

Hi, To develop M2M java application a good start point is the Concept Board. You can easily start the development and add Arduino Shields for testing and fast prototyping. The IDE SDK for the Concept Board are Eclipse and Netbeans. Gemalto M2M will provide you the necessary plugin , documentation,SW tools and support. Thank you Alopez, this is great answer! Gemalto Concept Board comes with all the tools and documentation that is needed for quick start. I would also recommend to check the tutorials in knowledge base of this website. We plan to add some new examples soon.

Hello Mr Alopez, i have a Gemalto Cinterion Board, EHS6T model, i whish to know how can i start a project with this board of comunication M2M. With what tool can i develope a program. I would use it for communication from a remote point to a centralized server. Thanks.

Hello,

If you would like to develop a Java MIDlet application and run it on EHS6 module directly you should read Java User's Guide document where you will find all the information how to prepare the environment, create, build and run the project. 

If you'd like to use hardware interfaces of EHS6 terminal you should also see the Hardware Interface Description document for the terminal - some configuration of the hardware may be needed (additionally some configuration of the wireless module with AT commands may be needed). 

And of course you will also need AT Commands Specification document.

Please write if there is anythin missing or you have some othere questions.

After you have the SDK installed you should also find some simple example MIDlets on your PC.
