My ME is failing to connect using AT^SISO to a remote server. Is there someway of performing a traceroute perhaps by using a Java module.
There's no traceroute function. But please describe the problem and what error you get. You could paste a log also. Maybe somebody will be able to help you then.
The issue I have is when trying to open a session using AT^SISO=0 it fails to open.
It appears like the IP address I have been allocated by the mobile provider is being blocked somewhere perhaps even at the server I'm trying to open. I can connect OK using exactly the same setup to our other server. I was looking for a traceroute function to see where the packets are being dropped
I already raised it as an EHS5E AT^SISO fails issue which you previously replied to.
Further to that issue, I found that while trying to connect to the server, I can ping for instance google.co.uk so the session is up and running. I just can't connect to our server hence the desire for traceroute to see where we are being dropped.
So it seems that you have access to the public internet. Are you using a public or private APN? Is the address that you can't connect a URL or IP? If it's IP, is it public or private? Is there any particular error visible? What protocol is used, http, https etc.? Plewase send this command after the conneciton has failed: AT^SISE=<srvProfileId> (AT^SISE=0 for SISS profile 0)
If you are using the public PAN and have problems with public address I could also try it.
