How to integrate a PCB slider

Showcase, September 28, 2016 - 4:25pm, 1000 views

Description:

Slider is a very universal kind of analog sensor. Beside the ability to deliver a kind of input from the user, it can be also used to debug any kind of analog input in the device, because it's very easy to manipulate its output voltage. In this example we show how to read and make a conversion of the slider values.

Hardware remarks:

- We used slide potentiometer of this kind https://www.seeedstudio.com/Grove-Slide-Potentiometer-p-1196.html. In case of other potentiometer, there might be a need of adjusting the reference maximum value in conversion algorithm

- Slider potentiometer needs to be connected to GND, 5V, and ADC (in our case A0 on Concept Board)
