Hope someone can help. We have some new hardware designed by us with EHS6 module. When I connect to PC via USb I get and EHSx modem device created but no COM ports. When I use the same PC with an EHS6-T USB modem connected I get 7 COM ports created and I can talk to the EHS6 using AT commands and MES tools etc. Since I get a modem device created when I connect up my hardware I know that the EHS6 is running but why does my PC not create the COM ports in the same way the EHS6T-USB modem does?
Hello,
This might be a hardware issue. Please remove any components if any (like resistors, esd protection etc.) from USB path and connect USB directly to the PC. If this is not the case you can send me your schematics and we will check if there may be something wrong.
Or maybe there is some problem or conflict with USB on your PC - you can try to remove all Cinterion USB devices (find some tool that will display all, even hidden or unused) and then try again with your device. Have you tried on some other PC?
