EHS6 quick start-up / power saving / start-up in airplane mode | Thales IoT Developer Community

Hi all, I wonder if anybody can give some recommendations about how to minimise module start-up time and its power consumption. Our application is intended to work like this: 1. External device wakes up the EHS6 using AUTO-ON level change. 2. EHS6 switches on and after about 6 seconds I get "^SYSLOADING" followed shortly by "^SYSTART". After 30 seconds the URC "+PBREADY" is output and the module is ready to do something. 3. In our case we just want to connect to another RS232 device to extract data. There is no need for the module to have it's RF circuits on and talk to the network as that just wastes battery power. My question: 1. What is the best way to achieve the above? 2. Is there a way to make the module start in Airplane Mode? I can't seem to find that info in the documentation. I have seen the AT+CFUN=4 command. Does the module keep this state after a power-cyle? Many thanks for any help, Micha
