EHS6T LAN - Will it work with the standard development environment? | Thales IoT Developer Community

Hi,
I see that the EHS6T LAN doesn't have USB. I understand the reason for this (it's being used by the ethernet controller) but I'd like to ask: how do we program it? The concept board and other terminals connects via USB for debugging and programming.
Thanks

I have the same problem.
I am just get starting with this module, but i can't get a serial connection under windows 7.
Is there any possibility to develop and perform online debugging with the Ethernet interface?
Hello,
As I understand you only have a serial connection to the module, no usb. I assume that you have the Java User's Guide document and follow the described steps.
Have you connected and powered on the module? Have you closed other connections to the module (terminal)? Have you tried to communicate with the module with some terminal program and was it possible to send commands and receive replies?
Unfortunately the Ethernet interface cannot be used for module debugging.

Thank you for reply.
Accroding to the Cinterion Java Terminals Hardware Interface Description (EHSxT_BGS5T_HID_v07), I tried to connection the module with SSH and FTP via Ethernet, It was successfull.
and I find this in the Java User Guide Document,
It looks like I didn't installed the driver for the "Cinterion EHSx Java Debug Modem Ser". Maybe that is the point?
I managered to install the modem driver by using add modem in the Phone and Modem (Control Panel) settings. and I can connect the module via Hyperterminal.
But I still have problem to etablish the IMP Debug Connection. Try to repair installation and scanning COM ports many *****. (Win 7 64bit)
“No supported module found, the debug RAS-Connection has not been updated!”
if i running the HelloWorld Demo.
Debug RAS connection is not installed!
Passing control to external device emulator...
Best Greeting!

Hello,
Please make sure that you don't use the port at the moment of installation (any terminal open etc.), the module is powered on and connected to PC.
Please run the setup once again but when there is an information that scanning will start please make sure that all drivers are already reinstalled and make sure that windows is no longer searching for any drivers. Then start scanning by pressing Next button.

Hi everybody
I have the same problem.
I just started to study the Gemalto´s Modem Family and something stopped me on my research.
As I know, the EHS6T - LAN doesn´t have the usb port and when I connect the LAN port using a patch cord, the computer doesn´t detect any serial port.
I´ve tried to connect with a serial simulator port program and with a combination of wires just like the Cisco routers and switches do, without favorable result.
Is there any solution or any procedure to connect the EHS6-T modem to the computer that allows me to see the serial port (COM #)?
Another solution that I´ve been thinking is with the FTP connection ones I already have finished my program on Eclipse.
Please help me to solve this issue.
