EHS6T - USB Virtual Serial Ports are enumerated differently after modem power cycle on Debian Linux | Thales IoT Developer Community

Hello
We have run into a problem with the virtual serial ports that are established by the USB serial port driver on Debian Linux when we connect the EHS6T modem to a BeagleBone Black Rev. C running Debian Linux 7.5 distribution.
Initially the virtual serial ports are enumerated from ttyACM0 to ttyACM6 where we use ttyACM0 to talk to the modem. But when the modem is power cycled the virtual serial ports are reenumerated from ttyACM1 to ttyACM7.
Is there some way to avoid this ? We would like to have the same enumeration at all ***** so we can always ***** on using the same virtuel serial port for communication with the EHS6T modem.

Never mind, we found a way around this using /dev/serial/by-id/ and udev.

It has been absolutely imposible for me to setup the reader IDBridge CL300 (Prox-DU) using a bleaglebone with Debian and with ArchLinux. In a Desktop PC hasn't been a problem but in the Beagle has been impossible. I even got in contact with Ludovic from http://pcsclite.alioth.debian.org/ where all the drivers are and no success.
Can you please help me. Suggestions are highly appreciated
Thanks
