Hello,
I have been playing with smart network switching functionality on ELS81-E modem. However after some experiments it looks like I can not restore original fixed configuration. At least I am not able to detect SIM card anymore. Is there any way to restore factory settings on ELS81-E modem without firmware update ?

Hello,
AT&F can reset some of the values to factory defaults but not all is restorable with this command. What does AT+CPIN? return (after setting AT+CMEE=2 before)? Can you also check AT+CFUN? and AT^SCFG? outputs?

Hello,
What I can see here is that the module is in airplane ****. Please try to change full functionality with AT+CFUN=1. Airplane **** is also set as default startup **** '^SCFG: "MEopMode/CFUN","0","4"'. But in airplane **** you should generally also see the SIM card if it's connected. Are you sure it is and it is not any hardware issue?

You are right, please disregard my question. I suspected some kind of stalled configuration issue after switching back and forth between manual **** and smart network selection ****. However that turned out to be a hardware issue around sim cards circuitry.
