How to measure throughput on Thales Module

Tutorial, December 15, 2020 - 9:59am, 1690 views

•Throughput  is the rate of successful message delivery over a communication channel. The data these messages belong to may be delivered over a physical or logical link.

•Throughput is usually measured in bits per second (bit/s or bps), and sometimes in data packets per second (p/s or pps) or data packets per time slot

•The throughput of a communication system may be affected by various factors, including the limitations of underlying analog physical medium, available processing power of the system components, and end-user behavior.

To measure the *** throughput, the easiest way is to use tester (like R&S CMW500 or Anritsu 8820 signaling tester) with conductive way instead of live network to prevent from MNO network resource allocation issue. We use CMW500 and PLS8-E as an example to show you how to measure throughput. You can apply it to other Thales modules to measure *** throughput0
